Glamazon forest tribe

Inspired by one of laladreambox's artwork pieces which I came across on her instagram page. This one in particular is called 'Hybrid'. Her pieces are for sale on her website too, which is here.

I have never tried making a head dress before so to be honest I had no idea what I was doing. I took a look at the colours and the patterns in the drawing and decided to use duck, goose and lovebird feathers along with a range of green buttons. I went with the green and yellow/orange colour theme.

So above is the finished head dress, I may put up a short video onto my youtube channel of an insight of to how I made this. The crazy thing is I actually really like the finished look and I think it goes well with my pale complexion. As you can see I didn't do the whole head dress going down my back, partially because I had no idea how to do that haha.

For the makeup inspired by the 'Hybrid' piece I did a brown smokey eye, with a mix of red and green details, with red and silver gemstones too. As you can see I did a pinkish-red to black gradient on the lips which I liked because it looks kind of poisonous.

I put my hair up for a couple of photos as that's how it is in the drawing, but I have scars on my forehead from running into door frames and walls and that good stuff haha. So tried to cover that up with concealer and highlighter.

personally I think this look would be brill for a carnival! Or festival! Kind of gives me a tribal vibe though so I'm kind of channeling that right now.
